1. Learning that Jelly Belly has 17 (!) different flavors [and colors] of green jelly beans. Who knew?!
2. Hearing from a woman that I used to connect with weekly, but lost touch with over a year ago. It was great to see her name pop into my email inbox!
3. Playing Pictionary virtually (i.e., using online instant-messaging and desktop sharing technology). It may sound geeky, but it was a TON of fun! There’s nothing like trash-talking your coworkers who live in a different state while drawing ridiculously childish pictures. 🙂

Stef, You might enjoy this music video made with jelly beans. There is a behind the scenes video about how they made the beans’ art.

Ruth – oh my gosh. This video is AMAZING! And the “making of” video is even more impressive. Thank you so much for sharing this with me!

I did! I was (and continue to be) amazed and impressed by both the variety of images, and the level of precision and detail in each one. This website shows many of my favorites. (Very convenient!)

Thanks for that jelly bean link! Pear has always been my absolutely favorite, followed closely by grapefruit.

As a kid, whenever my parents would take me to the local mall, I would stop by the Jelly Belly kiosk and get 1/8 lb of lemon and 1/8 lb of blue mint jelly beans, and eat them in pairs. Wow – that’s a blast from my past. Thank you for prompting me to remember that! 🙂
