Day 796

1. Getting a full night of uninterrupted sleep in my comfy bed.  It felt SO good.

2. Having colleagues who understand that our pups are important members of our family – and also having the flexibility to work from home and/or take personal time as needed to care for them.

3. After 60 hours of refusing all food, Jojo finally ate some hamburger voluntarily (two hours after we force-fed him some baby food).  It’s good to see him begin to regain interest in life; while his situation is still a bit precarious, it’s not nearly as touch-and-go as it was earlier today.  BIG RELIEF.

The patient sleeps.

The patient sleeps.

Sleep is such a healer. Thank you for the well-wishes. Mr. Jojo has a lot of folks pulling for him; I’m grateful to consider you among them. 🙂

He has had to endure quite a bit in his life. (Metal rods in his legs, all of his teeth removed, Addison’s disease, arthritis, Alzheimers, now one eye gone…) But he is one helluva fighter; he keeps on keeping on – and being so lovey all the while. He’s a wonderful example.
