1. Seeing our little dog behave almost like his “old self”. He is definitely feeling leaps and bounds better from where he was just two days ago; seeing him relaxed and mostly free of pain lifts a burden from my heart.
2. Discovering a terrific blog from an Appalachian Trail thru hiker. He captures photos from every section of his travel; what a gift to be able to “take the journey” with him.
3. Learning about the Peters Map, an “area accurate” view of the world. I literally did a double-take when I first saw it. The visual representation makes sense – but also conflicts with everything I have been taught/led to believe about the physical world. A very insightful view – and a great way to initiate ‘new thinking’ in a new year.
