Day 691

1. Seeing a tiny little boy (he couldn’t have been more than a year old) riding in a front-facing seat on his mom’s bicycle.  He was wearing the smallest helmet I have ever seen, and was grinning from ear to ear (and blinking a little uncontrollably) as the wind blew against his face.  It was obvious he was loving the ride!

2. Seeing a neighborhood group gather for a football potluck.  Men and women, old and young, and black and white were all present – laughing with one another, tossing footballs, eating chips and dip, and enjoying the company of each other.  What a beautiful scene.

3. Holding two very challenging yoga poses for a few seconds in class today – for the first time ever!  I have attempted one of the poses (handstand) at least a hundred times (probably more) – so when my legs stayed above my head for more than a split second I was genuinely surprised!  Just goes to show that a person never knows what might be just around the corner.  🙂
