2. Seeing our retired neighbors out and about on walks and bike rides. Two years ago the wife of the couple was at least 50 pounds overweight, and got winded just by retrieving the mail at the end of their driveway. Last year she had knee/hip surgery, where she was told she HAD to exercise (or else risked losing range of motion in her already stiff joints). She started walking very short distances, ever-so-slowly – and look at her now! Down to a healthy weight, and able to not only walk, but bike and move freely! Tremendous.
