Day 546

1. Using an umbrella that I received as a gift when I was a senior in high school (!).  Though it is now a bit worn, I love that  every time I open it, I think of the little 4th grade girl I tutored in French (whose parents gave me the umbrella as a “thank you”/graduation gift).  One of the perks to getting older is having a history of happy memories that choose to pop up and surprise me at unexpected moments…

2. Learning a new word: “concatenate”. (verb: to link together, as in a series or chain.)

3. Seeing a sign that I have literally NEVER seen before  – and I honestly don’t quite know what to make of it.  I kind of feel like I stumbled across some visual designer’s inside joke…
