1. Reading an amazing story about a boy with seemingly severe autism, and the way his family helped extract him from his isolation by exploring his obsession and using it to reach him. Certainly not every child with autism will respond in this way – but wow, what a powerful experience for those that do.
2. Seeing a repeat of last year’s baseball season opener events. Though the mascot-delivered drive-through coffee line, Cracker Jack lunch time treats, and old-timey band entertainment were no longer “new” to me, they were still fun to witness and experience. 🙂
3. On my second walk of the spring season, seeing a newly-erected Little Free Library in my own neighborhood!
