Day 442

1. Scrolling through my Facebook feed, I got to see: snow angels (made by one of my yoga teachers and two of her friends); many cute kids; a few clever comments that were funny without being insulting or degrading (yes, “clean”, uplifting humor really is possible); several “thank you” messages; and many other joyous posts.  I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many fantastic people!

2. Having a husband who is willing to drop everything to help a family member or friend in need.  What a great guy.  Again, I’m lucky.

3. Spending 25 minutes on the phone with our vet to discuss possible issues and treatments for one of our pups.  Even though her work day was officially finished, she gave me nearly half an hour of her time, free of charge. (Not to mention all of the other minutes she spent earlier in the day communicating with other doctors and doing research about possible conditions.)  Yet again, I’m very lucky.

Great vet. How wonderful she is willing to consult and support you.
And gratitude is always a good one for me at the end of the day. Will think on these things.

She is a fantastic vet. She is the one who euthanized our first dog, and was so compassionate and kind through the entire process (three years leading up to that incredibly sad day). She has a special gift, and I feel genuinely lucky to be able to have her treat our pups.

Aw, thank you Bella. A good vet (like any other good professional) can be tough to find – but when they are discovered, what a difference they can make!
