1. Seeing a small basket of dum-dum suckers at the bank – which unexpectedly triggered a flood of memories. As I stood in line, pictures flashed in my mind: the two-tone boxy brown minivan my mom drove in the 1980s; the plastic air-powered tubing system that delivered bulky canisters of paperwork and cash to each customer who used the bank’s drive-thru; the big silk bows and big curled hair worn by the women who worked at the bank back in those days… wow. My own little personal flashback was quite a trip.
2.Watching an hour-long interview with Hugh Jackman. He is wildly talented, yet seems authentically kind, and genuinely good-spirited and joyous. What a fantastic role model (and person).
3. That all of my “problems” are issues of abundance rather than scarcity. First-world problems are great ones to have.
