Day 357

1. Seeing a “drive through coffee” line set up in rush hour traffic, in the middle of the street that runs parallel to the city’s baseball stadium.  This spectacle was created to celebrate Opening Day of Major League Baseball season. If you look closely, you can even see a few mascots jumping around and being silly. What a gutsy, creative, unexpected move – I love it!

2. Walking through the skyway over the lunch hour, I saw a super-sweet trio playing old-timey baseball songs. (Look closely at the man in the middle; not only is he sporting an awesome white curly mustache, but he’s playing a fantastic contraption of a washboard, cymbal, slide whistle, and other fun ‘instruments’.) So, so cool.

3. Seeing that Buddhists are not always so serious.  Here’s one example:

This morning, I received the following message in a daily Buddhist email I receive:

Buddhist underwater retreat

Skeptical but curious, I clicked on the link – and was brought to this page:

Buddhist april fool's joke

Silly Buddhists.  🙂
