1. Looking over some writings from the past year – and realizing I did quite a lot with the 366 days that were gifted to me. That feels pretty darn good.
2. Spending more time than usual cuddling with the puppies. They are furry little balls of comfort and healing.
3. Enjoying some triple-chocolate ice cream. Soothing for the throat, and tasty for the tongue. 🙂

No no, that’s white chocolate. White, dark, and milk – a trifecta of chocolatey goodness. 🙂

I remember you saying that when I wrote about my ice-cream-in-a-bag adventure (http://smilekiddo.wordpress.com/2012/07/12/87-make-ice-cream-in-a-bag/) – and I’m still surprised. I do love me some ice cream. 🙂

Every morning when I wake up, the very first thing I do (before I open my eyes or sit up to leave the bed) is breathe in a deep breath, and silently say, “Thank you for the gift of this beautiful day.” Even though I am relatively young still, I am not promised anything in this life – so I try to be as grateful as possible for the gift of every new day that I am given. 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful 2013 as well, Miss Ruth!

I found the “triple chocolate ice cream” a few weeks ago and am happy to say I have found the answer to ice cream happiness. I believe everyday is a gift to be thankful for, each day offers the the opportunity to mend old wounds, make new friends, take new adventures or just sit back and enjoy who is with us and what is around us. Happy New Year I am sure it will be a great one!
