1. Hearing a little girl singing her own made-up song in the grocery store. (The lyrics included lines such as “marshmallows, marshmallows, white and fluffy marshmallows”; and I think there may have been an ode to yogurt, too…) 😉
2. Seeing a scene that reminded me of a Monet painting.
3. Getting the puppies back from the groomers – and laughing out loud at how funny they now look. (The groomer did a great job; she cut them to breed standard [complete with poofy tail]. We are just used to seeing them as scrappy ragamuffins – so to see them all nice and cropped was just funny. I didn’t realize we had such tiny dogs! Their big hair makes them look a lot ‘bulkier’.)
the puppies look all skinny now. Kind of like when i bathe Sophie the long haired cat – all of sudden she is 1/4 size!
thought of you today as I stood out back watching swallows swooping back and forth – like a dance. Made me smile.

My sweetie and I were kind of stunned at how truly small the puppies are. They look at least 5 lbs heavier when they have all of their hair…
The swallow dance is a smile-inducer, for sure!

The next to last day of school two of my students asked if they could ‘sing’ me a book. This reminded me of that. Cute.

Cute. 🙂 What book did they want to sing you?

It was a Disney/Pixar book of short stories. I had kids singing books to me left and right after that! Funny. Those are one of the moments I’ll miss.
